Joe Cocker's lyrics
FINALLY! Someone made Joe Cocker's lyrics clear!
Finally, after 40 years, someone has opened the vault and revealed the answer to a question that has clawed at our brains since the 1969 Woodstock album was released: What the heck were the lyrics to Joe Cocker's version of 'A Little Help From My Friends'? He was so wigged-out and loopy on a multitude of drugs, no one has been able to understand his jarbled, mush-mouth version... ...until now! Click link below for the lyrics .... FINALLY IT'S CRYSTAL CLEAR! http://www.elwp.com/Joe%20Cocker.html |

Ritchy Haven recently did a concert here at PU and I read an interview with him in the local paper.
He did an impromptu concert for like 3 hours because nobody else had showed up yet. His song Freedom was totally made up on the spot. He was a kindof jazz folk artist and that saved him. About fifteen years ago I tried to get my kids to watch a video of Woodstock with me. I thought it was sortof an important cultural/ musical event which they would enjoy with me. They refused to watch more than about five minutes. Oh well. I guess its mostly significant in the minds of those of us who were young then.
