Englewood child sexual assault suspect found dead

A man suspected of sexually assaulting a 9-year-old Englewood girl was found dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound in Iowa.

Charlotte County sheriff’s detectives said Kevin Carroll Bordwell, 43, was found in Hamilton County, Iowa, on Wednesday night.

Detectives say Bordwell entered an Englewood residence Tuesday afternoon and at gunpoint raped the girl, who he knew. The Sheriff’s Office did not disclose where the incident occurred. Bordwell was wanted on charges of capital sexual battery, burglary with battery and armed burglary.

Bordwell’s last known address was on Anita Avenue in Englewood. He was located in Iowa after a nationwide lookout alert was issued for him and his 2002 red four-door Mercury Marquis.

Sheriff’s spokesman Bob Carpenter said U.S.marshals from the Charlotte County and Sarasota County sheriff’s offices received information to track Bordwell as he moved across the country. They then contacted marshals in Iowa. Carpenter said it was unclear where Bordwell may have been headed. The Sheriff’s Office did not release further details.

Carpenter said the case remains open as detectives try to find out why Bordwell committed the crime and whether he’s connected to any other crimes.

he's not the only one here in iowa.a piece of crap from sioux city went into nebraska and raped and killed a 3 yr old girl last week.they caught him here in sioux city.extruduted hum to nebraska,last i heard they were moving him from a county jail to a state pen because of all the death threats.maybe he'll trip and fall on a shank and save us some money.also turns out he's an illegal.

I don't know about you but I feel a hell of a lot better when people who caused me problems are suffering or dead. So yes, it might help. Won't fix everything but it is better than nothing at all. I know that when I watch people who caused me misery suffering, I feel a lot better. Even better when I am the cause of their suffering. I gave up a night of great sex to watch someone I didn't like suffer a migraine attack. Of course, I turned on the lights so that he wouldn't fall and his expensive glasses got lost in the process. Gives me a warm glow.
