He was one of our coolest clients.
I’d never for a minute see that sort of end coming.

Very sad.
He will be missed.

He was 72. Perhaps he had had enough of life.

Sad. I just saw a segment on CBS Sunday Morning with he, Rip Torn and Bruce Dern about their new flick "Golden Boys" and they were all yucking it up over their age/experiences.

Doesn't mean he was happy with things the way they were. In fact, I'd go as far as to say if he were happy with things the way they were, he'd still be alive today doing the Yellow Book dot com ads and what not.

True that.
Money even fame won't buy happiness. Look at Mohammed Ali.
He was interviewed by a news anchor and Ali took him to his barn where all his medals, ribbons, trophies, olympic medals were gathering dust. Some even had bird droppings on them.
The anchor was amazed. When he asked Ali about it he said "I had the world, I had the whole world, and it meant nothing".

Sad about David. Kung Foo was one of my favorite shows.

In fact, some people kill themselves precisely BECAUSE they have all the things they thought would make them happy. Then they find out that they are still unhappy inspite of having achieved all that they had set out to achieve.

Or they have achieved all they set out to achieve. Nothing more out there that they want so it's time to turn off the lights since the party's over.
