MY list of 10 cars/brands that last 4 ever
Yes it's biased but closer to the truth. Aside from #1, no particular order
1. Mercedes 123/124/111/121 2. Volvo 1966-89) 3. Ford F-150 (1968-90) truck and associated van 4. Dodge " W " series truck/van (1979 op) 5. Dodge Dart/Plymouth Swinger (1959-72) 6. Dodge/Plymouth K car 1980-93 7. Jeep from 1966-1995 esp 6 cyl/4.0 L engine 8. Buick Roadmaster/Cadillac brougham 1987-90 models 9. Lincoln Continental Mark VII and associated Mercury 10. VW Bug from 1959-1973 Notice I didn't put any Japanese cars here. Their initial quality was good, but lack of rust proofing or galvanizing made most of them melt after 5 years. They learned fast. And now, their bodies, like most others, are good. I hasten to add the Dodge P Body, because my little green $$itbox commuter car has over 200,000 miles, still gets 35 mpg and the AC works. 2.5L stick. Just like my 123 240D except the latter is a diesel auto. Still looking for a123 stick, but that may never happen. I could add the 2CV too
