The problem with cheese is if you eat to much you can't poop.

Not so. But, eat a lot and your poop does smell a lot like cheese.

This stuff, Blue Rock, is absofrigginlutelyfantastic. Too bad you can't get it here.

There's a little country butcher store in Marlyland I passed by for years.
A while back, I finally stopped in and picked up some brisket and sausage.
On the way home yesterday, I stopped and got a pound of Hoop Cheese for $5.89 along with some sausage. Best stuff I've ever tasted!

I prefer a medium to sharp cheddar, but really, I don't think I've met a cheese I didn't like.

WHERE WHERE WHERE??? and the name, please...

I go to Dietrich's Meats in Pa. (exit 40 on I-78)
Awesome garlic sausage, bologna, bacon, etc and I tried their locally made Amish Cheddar the other week. Man that was good!

There is nothing like fresh meat smoked to perfection with no preservatives balanced by a hunk of cheese made from non-hormone, anti-biotic laced milk.

I also dig their pickled sausages and fruits. Try the spiced pears!

Don't knock it. My grandfather used to give us a 5 pound block of his senior citizen Gubbmint cheese once in a while. It was pretty good real cheese not petroleum based cheese food and best of all it was FREE

Can't go wrong with that.

The latest batch that I got the other day was particularly good this time.

I would never knock Gubment cheese, it's the best there is. I just wish that working folk like US could afford it.

You can get it by being old or poor... If you are not one of those then count yourself lucky

I for one, am glad I do not have regular helpings of GC in my diet

(it is good though)

I am both Old and Poor, but yet I still can't afford Gubment cheese. I am only poor because in my business I chose to help people instead of making money. Man am i stupid or what?

Sorry... Have you made sure you can't get any cheese? My Grandfather has his Ford pension and owned his house outright yet HE got cheese from his senior group. Of course that was back in the Reagan days...

It is truly a shame that the American palate is somewhat centered on cheddars, swiss and primarily pasteurized milk based cheeses. If a restaurant has a decent selection on their cheese course, I'll generally order that instead of a sweet desert.
