For a device which is totally waterproof and fits in the palm of your hand, it seems to work pretty well. Not so good for spectator video since it is strictly a very wide angle lens. For instance, in the video, it's hard to see that when I say, 'Uh oh, we've got some swimmers', a tandem canoe had flipped in the rapid ahead of me.
Stay tuned. Next week loaded canoes on the North Platte in Wyoming.

That was fun!

A suggestion would be to shield about the top 20% of the image if possible. Perhaps tape gray or blue colored piece of cardboard. The camera draws much of it’s auto exposure from this area and as a result, too much of the image comes out way too dark.

Question: What building was in the last image and why did you include it in the series?

I've never been able to roll a C-boat back up when capsized. Can you do it?

K-boats are a snap. I used to be able to roll one of them back up without a paddle.

I find rolling a C-boat easier than rolling a K-boat. I could roll a C-boat without a paddle at one time but I'm out of practice now.

That would work if you wore a helmet all the time.

Oh wait, you do.

Next time you're out, if it's not too cold, can you perform a practice roll with that camera rolling?
