Problem with 1993 300TE 4Matic.

My cabin/dome light only works when I manually turn it on. When I have it set to turn on when the doors are open, nothing....... I replaced the switch assemble at the light and it still doesn't work. Any ideas?

Have you checked the door switch or lamp control relay?

Its possible it is the door switch, but would have to be both sides. Where would I find the lamp control relay? One person mentioned a relay that they said controls both the dome light as well as the auto-seat (memory). My seat adjustment memory only works when the key is in and on...you should be able to push the "1" or "2" as soon as you open the door and it will adjust the seat.
