Lithium Ion Makita tools at Costco
Hey all. I just came across a post on one of those great deals forums about a Makita Li Ion combo tool set (the 4pc HD has for $500. LXT407). Some Costcos have it for $279.99. Naturally, not the one in my neighborhood, which I called. Costco is apparently not carrying Makita anymore so stores are selling off their stock.
Check out your Costcos. The set has an 18v impact driver, drill, sawzall, light, and the pretty good/tough tool bag. These are great tools. They charge super fast, 15-30mins.

Makita screwed themselves royally by letting companies like home depot and costco sell their product. We were selling there makita li-on sawzalls and impacts. We were way overpriced compared to home depot cause we cant get a good deal in bulk. We had them for a year or so and then we slashed prices to sell quickly. We still cant sell the sawzall and we got it down to $220.
