Forum for Ford pickups?

It looks like I am about to become the proud owner of an 85 Phord F-150 gasser pickup.

Can anyone recommend a good internet forum or two for tech info and parts?

Thanks

Congrats on your F150.

If you ever upgrade to a PowerStroke diesel, then it's; http://dieselstop.com an unlimited amount of PSD gearheads hang there too.

Thanks to all who responded.

I will start reading those websites.

The truck in question was my wife's dad's truck. We sold the truck when he passed away in 2002. Had 54k on it at the time. Now has 212k. Still looks good and drives well. Needs tires and a timing chain set.

It had an electric winch for loading a handicap scooter. We kept that. Three bolts and a new wire to the battery and that can be restored.

Serious gas hogg. Carburated 351. The original Holly was swapped out for an Edelbrock a few years ago. I am told it gets about 15 mpg now.

15mpg would be quite good with that setup.

My truck only gets 17ish around town, although I saw 18 on my last tank. Most get 10-12.:D

I've used a great Ford PU site before but I can't find the computer that has it saved in my bookmarks. Might be on one of the laptops in, of all things, my F-150 {had to retire the Mercedes for the dog days of summer when the daily highs crested the 100 degree mark!}
I will check tomorrow....

Ford-truck.com is one of the best, if not the best for Ford trucks. Comparable in many respects to Peachparts.

I'm registered there and have used it to successfully troubleshoot issues with my Sis's beat-to-death '93 F150, my '02 PowerStroke and, my DiL's late 80s Bronco.

Thanks Randy.

This truck will make the ZooZoo surplus.

PM me if interested.

There is a "gasoline engine" sub forum on the oilburners.net site. Look in the Ford area, and scroll down to the gasoline engines area.
The people on oilburners are really great--at least on the IDI diesel section--I can't speak for the powerstroke fellows.

We just had our annual "East Coast" IDI Rally. This year it was in Bowling Green, KY. We had peope as far away as southern California make the trip.
Read the rally-related threads--they had a great time.

Remember that except for the engines, there is a lot of similarity between your F150 and these diesel-powered F series trucks.
