can mercedes rule your life?
I'm not sure if its me or what, but I have this feeling that I might have fallen off the deep end with these cars. Now I only have one of them and while I would like to have another, I have decided to keep it just to one money pit. I seem to be infatuated with everything that is my car. I am on this forum every day feeding on information. I spend a lot on a car that is really worth nothing as far as selling it goes. I am asked by everyone that knows me why I would spend so much time and money on an old car that breaks often. I think I am the onlu one I know who intentionally drives an older car. Now seriously, I dont think its too terribly bad of a vehicle, but it has been an expensive last year or so. i think my mechanic either doesnt either like working on my car, or he sees a pattern in me that he makes him think I spend too many hours and dollars on this car and on mercedes in general. He keeps talking to me about marriage and cars. At first earlier this year he mentioned something about marriage, as he knows my ex girlfriend because she used to tag along with me on my trips to the shop. She also owns a mercedes now so it gets serviced by him. Anyway we broke up in December last year, but have remained friends and actually she usually picks me up from his shop when I take it to him because she likes him and likes to look at the cars there. Now since we broke up, he mentions something to me about marriage and the importance of a good wife and family every time I go to see him. Either she told him that I was spending too much time on the car, and I admit I never needed an excuse to play with it for hours, or he can see something else. He even told me today he was going to pray for me when I talked to him on the phone. I never considered myself too infatuated with cars, as I have loved them since I was little, but I take a step back and look at myself and I do spend lots of time either reading or tinkering or dreaming up improvements to the car. I dont do much else. What the heck am I supposed to do? Do I really have a problem? By the way, is it too weird that I asked my mom for spark plug wires for Christmas?

why is that? My dad loves MGB's . Just a little too primitive for my tastes.
