Electric a/c compressors

Anybody have any info on electric a/c compressors? I think they are being used in hybrids and electric (duh) cars. I have a 914 with a Chevy 327, adding some cool air so I could drive in summer would be nice.

Check with hot rod products vendors. Hot rods use them all the time.
Later addition-
I was just watching a show featuring Jay Leno's '66 Tornado. The builders used a trunk mounted unit sold by "Vintage Air".

One of my "If I had money" builds. Did you do it as a renegade swap?

I bought it as a work in progress. Mostly Rod Simpson parts, but a few Renegade.
