My father's company owns taco bells, and 11 years ago when he was first buying into the franchises, that ad campaign was going on. We were at a flea market in San Antonio, and brought home a little chocolate chihuahua. Named him Bean, and he's still kicking after 11 years weighing in at a hefty for his size 5 pounds.

If it weren't for the ad campaign we would never have given a thought to getting him.

Yes, Jake did go a few months back.

Bean is pretty clever with the big dogs, and knows right where to get them. If more attention is being paid to another dog rather than Bean, he will attack.

If the dog is standing, the Achilles tendon. Lying down, right on the nose. He's not scared of any dog. A complete wimp with humans though, and horrified of children who over-handle him. He never barks, and is very mellow.

The poor guy has congestive heart failure, so who knows how much longer he'll last. Probably less than a year.

Small dogs live a loooong time. My Cockatzu (Cockerspaniel + Shih Tzu) is going on 14 this month. He still goes on 2-3 mile walks with me almost daily and doesn't even get tired out. He's crazy. No real health issues either thankfully.

Here he is!

One pic is him taking in the breeze in the 300E....the other is at the beach.

Taco Bell had turned them down but went forward with the campaign with TBWA. The men sued and in 2003 a jury awarded them $30.1 million in compensation[9] plus nearly $12 million in additional interest three months later.[10] Taco Bell in turn sued TBWA saying it should have been aware of the conflicts. In 2009 a three-judge federal appeals panel ruled against Taco Bell.[11]
