Lord of War...arrested!

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/32372031/ns/world_news-asiapacific/

He leaves Russia and look what we do to him!

Since their is now an opening anyone want to start a new business with me? I'm going to need some aircraft and someone who is good at making end user certificates.

WVO how much can ahem your plans carry, weight wise...

The hypocrisy. I bet if that guy was smuggling weapons to some anti-communist forces (as opposed to the Columbian FARC) the US authorities wouldn't care or might even tacitly approve.

Crossed my mind too.

Sorry Hatt. My smug'ln days are behind me.
I spent nearly a year running electronic goodies into Mexico from AZ.
Probably cost me a few years off my life with all the fears.
It was hell on the nerves.
Not do'n that again.

Supposidly the character from the movie is based on this guy Viktor Bout.

Yep, he doesn't care who buys the product. Guns to the FARC, supplies to U.S. troops in Iraq, AKs to Africa. So long as someone pays he will deliver the products.

" Lord of war" is practically a biography of my father's life, with the exception of the woman, and a few other things. When he did it it was easy to do. Now there are a lot of anti terrorist groups, and the U.S. does things a bit differently. The government of the world have come up with new definitions for "Terrorists".He's always been backed and endorsed by the U.S. govt. though, but they've always stayed in the background, and would never openly admit association with my father, and his competitors. Ver complicated business. He forbade my siblings and I to ever get involved, yet allowed us to begin our own personal collections at very early ages. Hardly my #1 interest lately though, and never been a priority of any type for me though. I assume, keep it all behind locked doors, and walls, somewhat to myself, and in the family. Check out our discussion in "What else do you collect?" for details I've divulged the other day. I'll say no more about it though.
