Another Thing I Never Knew Until Today

How To Spot Collectable Levis Denim Jeans

Apparently, it's the "Big E" that can turn a $2 garage sale pair into a $3K eBay sale . . .

Yeah, those almost all go to Japan... apparently vintage denim is a huge market over there! I walked into a vintage t-shirt shop in Hawaii a few years ago and almost fell over when I saw the prices on those things. They were catering to the Japanese tourists, and were obviously doing quite well judging by the number of people in the place.

I recall about 30 years ago reading in a Car magazine about some guy who bought a 1951 Nash Statesman (one of those huge old ones that look like an upside down bath tub) and went to Utah looking for dinosaur bones and old Levi's jeans to find and resell.

He did pretty good.
