Oh, the memories…..
Great spot to watch the show is the Mamala Bay Golf Course on Camp Kam. Go sit out under the wing of that old abandoned DC-6 across the road from the CC.

I guess they're doing a full run of the 45 minute show since they're still flying. Over the last 15 minutes, the sky has gone completely overcast, visibility is about 7 miles, but they're still at it.

With the beautiful Hawaiian scenery, it has to be something really SPECIAL! Are they over Pearl Harbor, at all, or only over at Hickam Field?

Actually, at the moment they're doing their afternoon practice for the Saturday show. There's something eerie about hearing the roar and seeing the sun cast shadows of an F-15 blazing across downtown office towers.
 The T-birds are performing over water in a "box" set up parallel with Waikiki Beach, extending from the yacht harbor on the west to Diamond Head in the east. They're hear for the AF's 60th. The just swung by in a four jet diamond.

Not to pick nits or anything but, the Thunderbirds fly F-16s not F-15s

Absolutely right.
 The news report today is that during the practice yesterday that, in addition to a civilian helicopter that barely crossed inside, a Marine CH-53D Sea Stallion helio entered 3 miles into the no fly zone. The Thunderbird pilot saw the Marine helicopter, maintained visual contact, and there was "no imminent collision danger," Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Ian Gregor said. "Nevertheless, we do take TFR violations very seriously." TFR stands for temporary flight restrictions. I bet somebody is getting a talking to. The only other "casualties" from the practice were reported by zoo keepers at the Honolulu Zoo in Waikiki . . . "The first time they flew over, the tiger kind of hunkered down and looked up, and the elephants let loose with diarrhea," something that they are prone to do when nervous, but they are all OK, zoo director, Ken Redman said.

How do they expect me to get any work done this season?
  Blue Angels doing two shows this weekend out at Marine Base Hawaii @ Kanehoe. A third, special show for school kids, is also happening this week.

Well, the Thunderbirds are back . . . practicing for the weekend "Wings Over The Pacific air show at Hickam. 6 hour flight from Las Vegas.
