I need to add 300lbs of weight to something...
I need to test how see how much something will shift when I add 300lbs of weight to it....
Whats the smallest item I can get that would add a large amount of weight?

That's 36 gallons of water. See if you can get some kind of tank and fill it with water so you don't have to break your back loading it.
That or maybe just a couple guys.

Water is often used for such purposes. 36 gal = 300#
Large weightlifting plates are 45# Bags of cement are 80# IIRC.

Common cement comes in #94 bags, or in half sized #47 pounders.
Bags of 30 mesh sand are #100 even. Is pretty cheap too. Gold is heavier than lead if you need something denser......
