It's 4am and do you know what your room mate is doing?

EDITING F****** VIDEO ON HIS LAPTOP!

Gah! I have a sound technology midterm in 4 hours and this douchebag is up at the crack @$$ of dawn editing some stupid hawaiin video he made or whatever the damn thing is.

I've already yelled at him to turn it down, but the Macbook pro won't get any lower. I'm emailing Reslife tomorrow to move out. This isn't the first problem and it isn't the last. I pay too much money to not find him anything short of great.

Sorry I needed to rant. I'm so tired and all I see is blue reflected off every wall.

Next time he has a test invite the loudest people you know over for a party. Lube them up with some beer and watch the show.

BTW this is the reason I never lived at college, I like my space to much. I would have done something stupid like thrown the (*(^)(*^() computer out the window.

A:
Get a big effing magnet and drop it on his laptop.
B:
Get a small pile of little battery driven alarm clocks.
Set them all for various times in the early am.
Hide them all over the room. Hide them really well- taped under drawers, deep in the closet, etc. The entire purpose is so that he has to rip the room apart to turn off the alarm- and then have another one go off about 1/2, 3/4 of an hour later, just as he's falling back asleep.
Once they are all in place, go away for the weekend.

He actually just appologized, but at this moment in time the damage is long done. I just finished my exam and boy my 3 cups of coffee didn't do much.

I'm going to talk to him later today about the importance of not doing work at 4am, unless he is in fact trying to pull an all nighter. I would have been much more understanding if it was an assignment, obviously it wasn't.

We've had other issues since he is my superior for this news show we work on. Like he would talk me down during the show and if I made a mistake in my audio work he would bring it up back in the room. We've worked through that and now he doesn't mention anything work related outside of work.

Either way it's the little things that build. I keep a clean room and our other room mate hates the fact he's leaving dirty socks out that I've been motherly picking up and putting into his hamper.

That is one of the known side effects of Viagra. You need to talk to your doctor about switching you to maybe Cialis. More bang for your buck literally.

http://www.pfizer.com/files/products/uspi_viagra.pdf

Page 6

Effects of VIAGRA on Vision: At single oral doses of 100 mg and 200 mg, transient dose-related impairment of color discrimination (blue/green) was detected using the Farnsworth-Munsell 100-hue test, with peak effects near the time of peak plasma levels. This finding is consistent with the inhibition of PDE6, which is involved in phototransduction in the retina. An evaluation of visual function at doses up to twice the maximum recommended dose revealed no effects of VIAGRA on visual acuity, intraocular pressure, or pupillometry.

When you have somebody picking up after you, why should you bother to keep it clean? Sweep it into the trash and if he needs his socks, tell him to go to the trash bin and find what is left there.

My roommate my freshman year at UConn was a 22 yo last semester senior (Electrical Engineering, 4.0 GPA) whose study habits consisted of cranking Led Zep or the Dead, a case of Milwaukee's Best and firing up a spleef or two while poring over his textbooks and notes until 3-4AM.

That set a very bad precedent as my brain wasn't able to function like his no matter how hard I tried to make it. And boy did I try.

We had a guy that would leave his socks around- and then 'wash' them in his room mates trashcan. Regardless, the mess of suds, water and socks stank. One Friday he started to wash a load of socks like this, and then went away for the weekend. He came back on Monday- came back to an empty trash can. We told him where his socks were though-frozen solid in block of ice on the roof, where his roomate put the trash can for a few days in 10 deg. weather.
The hissy fit he threw was very entertaining.

I've been there. Whatever you do, and as much as you're tempted to, don't be passive aggressive. Confront him directly, list your grievances, and propose a solution. Do this with your third roommate if necessary. Passive aggressiveness will get you absolutely nowhere.

Ditto.

By not mentioning to him the issues you have with the 'little things' you are turning it into a bigger issue. Talk to him about it and work out solutions. Ask me how I know....my ex-wife used to do this. She let things build up until she would freak out and I would be blindsided by a fury of nonsensical rage over 38 issues 'little'. Kind of tough to work out a solution over 38 issues at once.

When something he does boths you, tell him about it.

Just explain that the next time, you will aim your shotgun at the offending laptop and hopefully, he won't be in the line of fire....
