Oh No, You Didn't, Did You?

WH Staffer Calls Fox News "a wing of the Republican Party

In recent weeks, the White House has begun using its government blog to directly attack what it called "Fox lies." David Gergen, who has worked for President Bill Clinton and three Republican presidents, questioned the propriety of the White House declaring war on a news organization.

Not just FNC, but the line between news and editorial may be blurry, but it is there.

So I'd venture to say that any "news organization" that expresses political views or has a political bent is no longer a "news organization". Could someone please tell me of a for profit company that has a "news organization" that fits this new definition?

FOX employs one reporter. The rest are commentators.

With the mixing of commentary in news stories in ALL the media, how can ANY of them claim to be "news organizations"?
There is no straight news reporting.

Just a short list FOX BTW is out making money 10 to one over any liberal program for that matter all of them combine SURE the people who watch the far left and believe always will -
BUT - FNC has everyone else who is an independent thinker and what's both sides of any issue ( ITS WE REPORT YOU DESIDE ) sure you can only listen to RUSH and that is the other side

differences I see between L/R

If a conservative doesn’t like guns, he doesnt buy one.
If a liberal doesn’t like guns, he wants all guns outlawed.
If a conservative is a vegetarian, he doesn`t eat meat.
If a liberal is a vegetarian, he wants all meat products banned for everyone.
If a conservative sees a foreign threat, he thinks about how to defeat his enemy.
A liberal wonders how to surrender gracefully and still look good.
If a conservative is homosexual, he quietly leads his life.
If a liberal is homosexual, he demands legislated respect.
If a black man or Hispanic are conservative, they see themselves as independently successful.
Their liberal counterparts see themselves as victims in need of government protection.
If a conservative is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his situation.
A liberal wonders who is going to take care of him.
If a conservative doesn’t like a talk show host, he switches channels. Liberals demand that those they don’t like be shut down.
If a conservative is a non-believer, he doesn’t go to church.
A liberal non-believer wants any mention of God and religion silenced. (Unless it’s a foreign religion, of course!)
If a conservative decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping for it, or may choose a job that provides it.
A liberal demands that the rest of us pay for his.
If a conservative slips and falls in a store, he gets up, laughs and is embarra ssed.
If a liberal slips and falls, he grabs his neck, moans like he’s in labor and then sues.

Fox news ratings seems to hit all time highs as the Republican polls hit all time lows. Whats the deal with that?

There are some encouraging signs that people are finally figuring out that the phrase "liberal media" is nothing more than a marketing slogan, just like "Fair and Balanced." A few years ago, you would not have heard a White House representative being that blunt about Fox's persistent bias. I was also encouraged by NFL Player's Union leader DeMaurice Smith's comments about Rush Limbaugh. In the past, anyone who said that sort of thing would be attacked from all sides.

The right-wing "fad" has lasted 30 years, but maybe it is finally going away. I put "fad" in quotes because anything that lasts that long can't really be considered a fad.
