It's the fiftieth anniversary
of the Clutter family murders in Kansas. Truman Capote's book, In Cold Blood told that gruesome story. I just happened to notice this story on MSN.

I read Capote's book a few years ago and it was a great work, maybe his best. The crimes were so senseless and so meaningless. I am glad the two killers got what they deserved. All that violence for a few bucks and a radio if I recall...

Another anniversary last night was the big blackout in the New York area in 1965. My wife, who was my GF at the time, and I, were sitting in my car, listening to all the news about the blackout as it evolved. Was a spellbinding few hours.

Actually, Johnjzjz, I have never even noticed you here before. The fact that you had only 79 posts and yet I see you have an infraction already tells me you have difficulty in playing well with others. |
