Yup. This is exactly why my first move when I receive anti-Obama (and the like) email forwards from certain acquaintances is to check Snopes. If the email is a distortion of fact (which is usually the case), I reply to the sender with the link. Next step is immediate deletion. One would look rather foolish perpetuating that kind of crap, and I'm not even a fan of President Obama.
