According to the head of the Secret Service, there is no truth to the story that the number of death threats to the President is up 400% over Bush/ Clinton, as some have reported.
He says the number of threats is just about the same as for Bush/Clinton.

In Sept/ Aug many libs were circulating this story as "proof" of the racial hatred in America. Sorry, it is totally untrue.

Either we as a country, have grown up a little, and put some of the racism behind us, or the racists are more scared of a President Bidden than Presidnet Obama.

I guess that means the number of crazies has not increased, good news.

From a threat point of view, I assume they are more worried about the people who don't make their threats public.

perhaps I did not state that well.....there was a bunch of alarmist BS from DHS regarding the threat posed by returning veterans & angry white men when the Obma administration took power....this most likely fed the urban myth regarding a huge swing in death threats to the POTUS...like most of the alarmist crap from the gubbmint in the last year, H1N1m etc. is has been much ado about nothing

I think some of that "alarmist BS" happened to be true. I am not sure why you find it so offensive.

Threats against Obama did increase, although the recent report of a 400% increase appears to be off the mark. Thankfully, the threats appear to have dropped back to the levels we saw during previous administrations.
