First Snow in Houston, Today Snow in Sacramento

Yep, came to work to see several cars with snow on their roofs... sadly is was raining when i woke up so i didn't get to see any of the snow, but co workers that only live 10 minutes from me said they had snow on the ground when they got up. I must have just missed it.

The last measurable snow in Sacramento, 4 inches, fell in February 1976.

Global Warming is colder then a witches.... you know the rest

At the 3,000 foot level here in Grass Valley, at 3am it was snowing like mad.

I put a child's school ruler in my driveway, and it went down 7 inches!!!

So we got a lot.

My morning coffee never tasted better!!!

Here are a couple of pics taken at 7am out the front door, of the house.
You can see the little Toyota Corolla I am trying to sell through the snow covered Japanese Maple trees in one pic.

back porch view: (It's a gated community)..

I took the Corolla down to the DMV and on the way back the streets, plowed, already seemed not too bad;

Mile away from home, though, in 2nd gear at about 25 mph, skidded on ice, and the leetle fwd tuna can slid into oncoming traffic, but luckily no cars were around when it did. Wow.

I will discount it heavily to sell this week,

and start using the '08 Outback for this weather; it's why I bought it anyway.
