Stop Eating Pork Brains
They're bad for you. Too much cholesterol.

Well, the cholesterol count is pretty high . . . but there's a recipe on the label for pork brains and scrambled eggs . . . guilding the lily at its best.

Mom used to fix brains when I was a kid. Breaded they are a real treat. She called them Sweet Bread because if she called them brains she figured we wouldn't eat them.
Ha! we would have eaten anything! I am not sure whether mom used pork or beef brains.

you guys should be open to eating and trying out new things. just cause you haven't had pork brains and because it sounds weird, doesn't mean it isn't good
'if it looks good, eat it'

I've had cow brains @ a few Armenian weddings. I think it's a Lebanese thing. Just a squishy, mushy mess. Probably need to cook it just right. No real reason for eating it unless the **** hits the fan and you really need to

A small chain of Mexican restaurants a half step up from taquieras here in the peninsula (area south of SF) named Grullense Taco offers tripe and brain among their meat choices for tacos. I tried both out of a spirit of adventuressness. Tripe tastes a lot like liver, and brain . . . well, uhh, I come down on the side of mushy, bland mess as alluded to above. Didn't order it a second time.
And then there's the mad cow link. Brain and bone (meal) of cow not especially safe to eat. Not sure about pork but I'm OK to eschew, and not chew, pork brains.

Most of the taquerias here will serve all sorts of stranger cuts of meat. Tongue, head, tripe, etc.
I've had tripe in vietnamese soup, quite good, kind of rubbery though.

Oh yeah, I forgot about tongue. They have that too. There's a great Bay Area taquiera chain - Gordos. Four or five locations that I know of. They don't have weird meat - just beef, pork, and chicken - the reglar old cuts only.

why? he gets to go to amazing places and eat the most amazing foods. you don't truly get to experience other cultures until you eat their nastiest food. trust me on this, one day I will experience native culture by eating wolf brains
