Public option, I didn’t campaign on no stinkin' public option!

"I didn't campaign on the public option," Obama said in the interview.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/12/22/AR2009122202101.html

I only mentioned it on the campaign trail all the times when I thought you needed to hear it and I had it as part of my BarackObama.com campaign website, my supporters attacked my opponents when they said it wasn’t part of the 2008 campaign, but I didn’t campaign on it, really! P. S. to all of you who worked for and voted for me I won’t c@m in your mouth and I will respect you tomorrow, love Barry

And on the other hand, are we seeing the real John McCain, one that is not so much the independent "Maverick" he once proclaimed to be, but now just another nay saying member of the opposition. Perhaps everyone should be disappointed.

From the linked article-
"While Obama has had a crisis, it's not the sort that the opposition would give in to his demands," he said. "Obama, in a sense, has had a tougher assignment than either Roosevelt or Johnson had. The fact that he's getting so close on this health-care bill speaks to his talent of leadership, doggedness and determination to put across the biggest piece of social legislation since Social Security."

Not to mention that he has extreme leftists as the Speaker of the House and the Majority Leader of the Senate doing the heavy lifting for him. Also having the Press not asking the hard questions helps a lot.
Neither Roosevelt, not Johnson had those advantages.

the undoing of some of this is going to be a real thing

after 2010 the left will run for the hills seeing they the ones left soon wont have a job -- CAUSE the people DIDENT forget CHUCK S

by 2012 even the mopes will figuer out no one has been given anythiing but a bill for healthcare ( The wimpy from popeye consept wont fly anymore )

jobs willl be at best still tough to get and helthcare noose will stop most from being on the books < reason the one giving the job can let the tax payer pay for the healthcare off the books ( This is the unintended consequence of this entire plan ) it will take 20 years to unravel -- jz

Pelosi and Reid are in office because Bush was such a horrible president. The bottom line is the whining Republicans have only themselves to blame.
