Proper height for wall mounted tv?
There are lots of experts here on everything. So the question is, what is the proper height, from the floor to mount a 37" LCD TV to the wall? This is for the bedroom.
Thanks! |
Sit comfortably in the bed and look across the room. Decide how far you want to raise your head above horizontal.
If I had to guess, the horizontal c/l of the TV should be about 5 1/2 feet from the floor............just slightly above your eyes. But, ultimately, it's a personal preference. Some folks like looking up toward the ceiling............... |

Thanks for the quick response! Will measure that out.
Thanks Iggy |
Iggy- not everyone is the same height. Sit down where you plan to watch and measure accordingly....

Get a piece of cardboard or something and put it up to the wall and get some idea of personal preference. Being in Central America, you don't have to worry about comforters or quilts around your neck blocking your view!:D Enjoy. I fall asleep to my tv every night. :) |
We used to have a bedroom TV on stand about three feet off the carpet, only because that's the stand we always had. This was the setup for the past 10 years. This month we upgraded to a LCD panel and rearranged some furniture so now the panel is about five feet up on top of a dresser . . . much easier to watch while lying down.

Should midgets just set the tv on the floor? I'm just saying. :D

Why would a British roadster be watching TV?

You must be watching porn if you want to mount your TV!

Well, not an MG . . . they tore Morris Garage a new one recently. |
My parents have theirs about 4.5 feet off the floor, its perfect height when you're in a recliner or couch.

Put it above your head on the bed so you can lay in bed and watch it. Or as your having sex if your on the bottom.:D
