I flicked through the dials and stopped on C-SPAN, yes, C-SPAN!

This weekenbd they are re-broadcasting a 12/7/09 hour-long show by Kal Kallahugh, the political cartoonist for the Economist.

He shows how cartoonists decide to draw their subjects, and he draws them for the audience on a big flip-chart. He did about 50 from Dubya to BHO, Kerry, all kinds of people.

A real funny apolitical thing to start the New year right.

Watch it but don't drink while you're watching or you'll spill your stuff laughing!

I hate to say it but C-Span has a lot of good programming when they aren't broadcasting the debates in the congress. I try to tell people not to snub it ;)

every saturday and sunday, for at least ten? years they broadcast book tv on c-span2. interviews and public author readings/ q & a from audience following. from anybody and everybody from gore vidal to sarah palin to richard dawkins. i've always felt like its only me and seven other oddballs watching it - out of the whole country. :D please join in; there's something for everyone. really.

You are not alone. C-Span Book TV was one of my favourite shows. Many of the volumes in my bookshelves have come from watching it.
