I'd like to know what would happen if you started it up and tried to drive away.

If the exhaust was not plugged up and the rear wheels had traction....it would either go or break the front windshield, trying, is my hypothesis.

Wow, My '82 300SD looked EXACTLY like your car!!
I dug mine out yesterday, along with the F250 supercab.
Now the driveway is clear and dry, waiting for the next shoe to drop (weather-wise).

Mine hasn't left the garage since Friday 2/5. A couple of days of cleansing rains are forecast. Maybe Thursday or Fri. I'll take it out.
That's what weather beaters are for.

I got the back end mostly dug out. About halfway through the rear end of the car sprang up about six inches and cracked all the snow and ice off the sides, like a beast breaking out of a giant egg, LOL.

Raymr- all you had to do was have a GTG and we would have come over with shovels and BBQ...

OK, next time then.

The only thing holding me back is the embarrassment of everybody seeing what finally gets dug out and exposed. They might just cover it back up again.

Perhaps you dug it out too soon? I believe another coast-to-coast snowfall is expected Tuesday...

That would have been an appropriate use of a weed burner torch.
