Its a k31, accurite as can be and has a cool bolt action.

Now I'm on the hunt for some GP11 ammo!

My friend has a K98, I think we will do a "mad minute" so my Swiss straight pull can own his Mauser.:D;)

WVOtoGO 02-08-2010 10:20 PM

Cool.

But I have to say. For a second there, when I read the title, I had a flashback to your last thread involving a (ultimate) “toy”. And thought: “Now - How do I get to be Hatts best friend?!” :D

Cool as that gun may be...I now sit a bit disappointed. :(

Hatterasguy 02-08-2010 10:23 PM

Sorry I'm not yet rich enough to buy a Mig, and I can't fly so all I would be able to do is look at it.:D

The extent of my flying experiance is taking the controls of a Cessna for a few minutes when I was 10.

Although you may be interested in knowing that the guy I sail with's family owned Piper Aircraft and he grew up screwing around at the plant.

WVOtoGO 02-08-2010 10:26 PM

No worries.

We’ve got an old J-3 Cub here. Between it, me flying, and you and that rifle – We don’t need no stink’n Mig !! :D

And before you ask... Yes, I do own a wall mounted propeller with a hole in it.

Hatterasguy 02-08-2010 10:27 PM

I love the Cub, I built a wood and cloth model of it when I was little. Did you know it has the distinction of being the last Allied aircraft in WW2 to have shoot down a German plane?:D

WVOtoGO 02-08-2010 10:29 PM

No. I did not know that. Thanks for the trivia.
And see. That’s proof right there we don’t need a Mig. :D

i like mine better gets their attention right away, and it has an amnesia affect as well

WVOtoGO 02-08-2010 10:37 PM

Personally though – I prefer my Cubs full of pretty girls over guns any day. :D

Fulcrum525 02-08-2010 10:46 PM

Haha first the SIG and now a K31...... will this be the 2nd rifle that you've bought on my recommendation? :D (I have to check a few old threads but i'm pretty sure I mentioned the K31 a time or two ;))

Now that one I wouldn't mind trying....once I get some proper hearing protection....

Sweeeeeet.
That’s great !!
I do competition shooting with a Glock 22 (40S&W).
I fire a match grade six port compensated Storm Lake barrel.
When I ordered it, they asked about engraving. I had no idea what they were talking about until it was explained to me. :o

Not something that I’d put on a competition pistol, but I’ll have to remember that one for the others.:D
Thanks.

I thought it was pretty interesting.

"In Europe, the final dogfight of WWII occurred between an L-4 and a German Fieseler Fi 156 Storch. The pilot and co-pilot of the L-4, Lts. Duane Francis and Bill Martin, opened fire on the Storch with their .45 caliber pistols, forcing the German air crew to land and surrender."

Anytime I'm talking to WW2 buffs I bring it up and they get a kick out of it.

Get some good ears and when the weather clears you can shoot it.

I can walk now too so you don't have to carry everything!:D

You will also have to shoot the pistol I'm going to get when I get my permit. I think you will recognize it pretty quickly, its from a series we both enjoy with a foul mouthed "two hands".;)

I'm also going to buy Triella's Sig P232.
