Peachparts Car of the Month Thread: March 2010

Has this been done before? I think it would be nice to recognize someone every month.

Rules:
1 Limited to one Nomination per forum member and it can be your own car if you're that bold.
2 With nomination 1 photo must be posted of the car and a short description why.
3 Forum members who have not nominated are welcome to second, third, etc. the motion
4 Nominations will end exactly one week from starting.
5 The top cars nominated will be set to vote using the poll application. (I will judge unless someone more qualified wants to step in)
6 Voting will last exactly one week.
7 Lobbying for votes is permitted.

The winner will have the car of the month for peachparts, and we start over the first of every month. This is not a concours judging competition, so feel free to nominate anything you think is worthy for any reason from project cars, cheap wagons, custom creations, original beauties, anything.

My nomination for March is 280SE guy's incredibly clean W108. The amount of detailing a fastidiousness is out of this world. Even more stunning is the originality.

I like this idea, after 12 "car of the month" cars have been choosen someone should make them into a calender for use in the garage (i'd put it in my cube at work) for the fallowing year. raise money for the site.

That 108 would make an excellent first Car of the Month. I'll second the motion

you'd buy it if your car were in it, or if you friends car were in it. and i'm sure there are some who would buy it to support the site, or for the novelty of having a nice looking car picture on their wall each month.

Great Idea!!

I second (third?) the motion for 280SEguy's car. Every one of the pictures I've seen have been flawless. The level of dedication he's shown for that particular vehicle has been the only time I've known someone more obsessed with their car than me. Let me put it this way... If I won the powerball and suddenly had a cool one hundred million dollars at my disposal, well... I can't lie. I wouldn't buy 280SEguy's car. A; because he'd never sell it. And B; because I don't trust myself to keep it looking as nice as he has. I'd drive it every day for the rest of my life and I'd never have to own another car. (Sorry Wilma )

Also, I'd buy a PeachParts calandar. I'd actually buy about ten, two for myself, eight as gifts.

It seems 280se guy's car is in. I think from now on I'll refrain from nominating.

We need more nominees, there are hundreds of great cars on this forum just as worthy.

I'm surprised CLK man hasn't nominated himself.

Absolutely lovely car, I concur. However something about those wheels grates on my aesthetic sense, doesn't seem to belong, put the original wheels with their wheelcover inserts done in body color and you got my vote.

The W108/W109 has one of the most beautiful hoods ever designed. And this car deserves to be the car of the month; so much love.

I didn't say it was an original idea.

Surely you would nominate somebody. There's a lot of nice cars in your neck of the woods.
