Ugh

The agency I have the best shot with is phasing out Vics in favor of Chargers. Supervisors get SUVs.

I seem to recall seeing police in Mopars back in the 70s and early 80s, then Mopar went to FWD, then the cops had all RWD Fords... now Ford is going FWD and Mopar is RWD I wonder if Ford is going to loose out on the cop market like Mopar did in the 90s.

That will suck. I work with a couple of guys who are cops during the day, and they HATE anything smaller than a Crown Vic...2 big guys with gun belts and other effluvia hanging on them will be rubbing elbows in a Taurus, and not in a good way.

Cute donut motif though.

When the Crown Vic goes bye-bye, so will the Lincoln Town Car...there won't be any big American sedans to convert into limousines or funeral coaches, because the Cadillac DTS will already be dead. So it'll be SUV-based, or imports...S-Class hearse, here we come!

Great another car I have to watch for.

Crown Vic's are easy to spot, more so since no one outside of LE drives them up here in the winter when the old people are in FL.

Our local department has a bunch of Dodge Chargers.

At least they could ask the guy to drive in the correct lane - or is this another cool car that we will never get in the states ? =)

They are thieves in uniforms with a badge, gun, taser, handcuffs, and a baton with which they would just * LOVE * to play it on your head like a marimba.

"Just give me a REASON".

If you think you "win" with them, by arguing, your chances are about as good as the proverbial paper dog chasing the asbestos cat through HADES....

What a beautiful move upwards.

Loved the pictures of your Marauders, Wes. You sure have exquisite taste in the American cars you pick to drive and own.

Exactly. I wonder what "high speed limitations" this version will have.

The crown vic is electronically limited to 129mph to "prevent driveline failure"

The chevy impala is limited to 110mph for sustained driving due to "transmission and powertrain overheating/failure"

Not sure on the charger, but if its typical dodge, then pretty much all of it breaks apart over 100mph.

A front wheel drive police car....ha. Lets see them do quick u-turns in that!
