Allergies! blow!

So who here suffers from allergies to everything and anything outside?

I do.. I really really do.

When I lived in CT I had to get allergy shots every week, two in each arm. Even in the winter.

Now in FL , I dont get shots but I live in the middle of orange groves and two or three times a year I am crippled by these horrible allergies. I got in my car this morning and it was more yellow than red!

Called my doc today and he's closed for good friday.. oh joy. Nothing over the counter touches my allergies, I think I might have to go back to shots. I hate needles.. so very much..

what about you!

this will sound crazy but it worked for me to at least lessen the allergies. I was the same as you. a whiff of grain dust, and I was sick for days...
A friend of mine who was a chinese doctor told me to start eating with silver or silverplate cutlery, to cook with copper pots, and to lose the stainless steel watch, and to avoid contact of stainless steel with my food or body as much as is possible. Ceramic, or titanium knives, etc.
I have only just used the silver cutlery, and gotten a titanium watch. Haven't bought copper pots yet, or ceramic or titanium knives. I can now unload a semiload of grain, and be in the dust that before would have incapacitated me (coughing, chocking, hardly able to breathe, etc.), and only have a blow my nose a few times. Took about 3 months for that to happen though.
He said if you use silverplate, to make sure that it's really well plated, or get it replated.

I had a life threatening allergy to yellow jacket stings that I beat with a de-sensitizing program of regular injections. I have allergies to pollens and other insect bites and stings that thankfully respond to over-the-counter meds.

I had been stung by honey bees, wasps, hornets with out any reaction but local pain and swelling. One sting from a yellow jacket and 2 minutes later I knew I was in trouble. The local hospital is only 10 minutes away and the attending doctor opined I had about 10 minutes left before anaphylacsis did me in. Allergies to shellfish and peanuts/legumes can be just as life threatening.
