This has been bugging me for a while. I have an image in my head from a show in the '60's that I believe was sort of sci fi ish.

I believe there was a group of aliens or a secret society that flew around in tank shaped space craft with what looked like pipes sticking out of them. By tank, I mean an oil tank rather than a military tank.

Another thing is that I believe it was British.
