Just got back from Baton Rouge

I just got in town from a road trip to LSU to pick up a friend of mine. unfortunately the coupe was left at home, but the trip was amazing. there is one part that sticks out the most about the whole trip though... CRAWFISH. true Louisiana crawfish just cannot be beat.

Mini-lobsters - the all-you-can-eat kind w/o spending lobster-size fixed portion prices.

The Baja Fresh lagostino lobster BFF burritos - I tried one, and the lagostinos were way tooo salty. I'll try my home location, if they're the same, then a THUMBS DOWN.

Eating bags of Louisiana crawfish is a big perk to living in Texas.

I'LL SECOND THAT !!!

We’ve had a few big boils here.
The only down side: Darby isn’t too keen on my letting them “purge” (aka: crap out) in the bathtub the night before.

Tony's on Plank Road in Baton Rouge are the BEST!

My Brother attended LSU and worked for a chemical company there - absolutely fun times!

Dwight's on Hwy 167 / Johnson Street in Lafayette, LA. are the best in that city.

Well we would have much bigger problems if oil made to the areas where crawfish are harvested. about 70% are pond raised and the other 30
5 come from the Atchafalaya basin and other fresh water swamps. Many miles from salt or even brackish water.

Sorry, LaRondo you are not a winner this time. Crawfish are freshwater crustaceans.

I've been avoiding this thread for a while now because every time I hear Baton Rouge, I have to sing this, Satin sheets to lye on, satin sheets to cry on.
