Best roof caulking for truck camper

Need to re-caulk the fantastic fan and a few other spots. What's the best roof caulking. I know some sailors and others use 3M-5200 but I understand it is all but permanent once put down. Opinions?

Someone on another forum recommended 3m 4000UV marine sealant. Anyone have any experience with that?

GE's best silicone.

There's no replacement for routine R & Ring of caulk. I've been putting-off the caulk R & R from around my Fantastic Fan in my roof's salon area..... Roof leaks are part and parcel of coach ownership. Ask me how I know. When I start driving a Prevost or Newell, most of my roof leak problems will be a thing of the past. However, I have no need of a 45' coach that gets less than 8 mpg (overall) - not in this lifetime anyway.

Lots of anti-silicone exterior roof caulk sentiment out there from what I read.

kerry - I have a fair bit of roofing experience. The normal black roof caulking is useless. Dries, shrinks and peels after a few years. I swear by polyurethane. Won't lose its elasticity, degrade, peel or shrink. Resistant to UV, which is important if exposure is a factor.

Try PL...

Good luck.
