Road Trip Time

Denver-Omaha-Des Moines--Chicago-Rochester--Montreal(?)-Quebec City(?)-Halifax NS--Gros Morne, Newfoundland--L'anse aux Meadows, Newfoundland then back home. Taking the Fuso FG. Will have the sea kayaks on top. Never been east of Maine before. May also take the ferry from Newfoundland to Labrador, just to say we've been there.

Montreal

If you are there around July 1.... it is Canada Day ( our 4th of July), then usually leads into the 2 weeks of the Montreal Jazz Festival. Worth a stop.

Going to the bay of Fundy?

Its worth a look.

The lovely Mrs. W and I did our first vacation together on my 72 BMW bike. Lafayette to Detroit, toronto, Montreal, Bay of fundy, back down the east coast to boston hooked up with some old friends, up into New Hampshire ski country, back to Boston, then home. 4000 miles in two weeks on a bike.

Returned home, coming from eastern new york all the way to Fort Wayne in one day....over 600 miles.

Not even sore. Dang Beemers are great bikes!

Yes, we plan to see the bay of Fundy. I have been a little concerned about traveling that far in a month in a cabover truck which is not that comfortable. But if you can do it on a bike, we should be able to do it in the truck. My wife may fly back from Halifax since she has a summer class that starts in mid-July.

Des Moines next Tuesday I hope. I'm stopping to see a nephew I haven't seen in 15 years. Depending on time and who is with me, I was thinking of possibly driving back thru Canada north of the Great Lakes and then cutting south to Denver west of the Great Lakes. That would be in mid-July.

Made it to Nova Scotia. Took the ferry from Saint John NB to Digby NS today. Only mechanical problem so far was a leaking clutch master cylinder. Replaced it in NY.

Waiting for the ferry in the rain.

Very lovely. Keep the pictures coming. I like your Fuso, that's a pretty cool setup you have!

It attracts a lot of attention. They had me load it last onto the ferry despite the fact that I was first in line. I think the crew wanted it in a space where they could get a good look at it.
