Fathers day

Happy fathers day to all the dads out there.
Today is our anniversary as well so we should be doing a lot but my wife's knee replacement was only a few weeks ago so were being pretty low key but as soon as she feels up to it we plan on celebrating. 40 years and it's still the best thing I ever did.

You and your wife have hung in there, good for you my man. The wife and I are working on 28 years. Take care of the wifey man, she needs you, like you needed her in your younger days.

I scored some magnetic numbers for my Autocross car, a gift cert for Barnes and Nobles and a pair of custom made flip flops custom made for a man with one leg challenged by 1" in length (since my hip replacement)...also had several family meals in celebration complete with ice cream.

There are advantages to having five children!

I talked my kids out of taking me to a fancy steak house. I think those places become dad freak shows on Fathers day . Instead we stayed casual and went to a grand opening of a burger place, and ate our free burgers outside. It was just as good, even better than the original plan, and we will hit the steak house another time.

Ironic! We celebrated out 18th last month, and my wife is due for knee surgery this week!

Saw "Toy Story 3" w/my daughter for Father's Day. Highly recommended, as this one puts closure to the previous 2...I challenge anyone to watch this one w/o shedding a tear ("I'm not crying, it's my allergies!!!" )...
