Fathers day
Happy fathers day to all the dads out there.
Today is our anniversary as well so we should be doing a lot but my wife's knee replacement was only a few weeks ago so were being pretty low key but as soon as she feels up to it we plan on celebrating. 40 years and it's still the best thing I ever did.

I scored some magnetic numbers for my Autocross car, a gift cert for Barnes and Nobles and a pair of custom made flip flops custom made for a man with one leg challenged by 1" in length (since my hip replacement
 )...also had several family meals in celebration complete with ice cream.There are advantages to having five children!

I talked my kids out of taking me to a fancy steak house. I think those places become dad freak shows on Fathers day
. Instead we stayed casual and went to a grand opening of a burger place, and ate our free burgers outside. It was just as good, even better than the original plan, and we will hit the steak house another time.
