I love the smell of diesel and would love to wear it as cologne. I've been inspired by Whunter's thread.

The worst part is I am semi serious about this.

I have an empty glass cologne bottle that I can fill up. It has a perfect spray nozzle that lightly mists. Granted rigging up our injectors to do this would just be funny.

Would spraying diesel on me be bad for either my health or my ability to pick up women

I bet it is bad for your health - I don't know what sort of women you'd attract with it though. Keep us posted!

So after doing some research, it may be ok so spray this in really small quantities on special occasions.

Naphthalene is what I am worried about the most. According to the MSDS and the citation links on wikipedia in large amounts in can cause damage to red blood cells. It may also be carcinogenic to humans.

It's worth a shot though. Maybe the girls that would find it awesome are the ones who like MB diesels

I would NEVER spray any petrochemical on my skin on purpose.

Biodiesel may be OK but it may not have the "bouquet" you're after...

If you are serious, use B100 that is 'safe' and still smells decent.

Naphthalene is what moth balls are made of. If they kill moths, they aint going to do you any good.
Maybe try a drop or 2 of your favorite fluid on an inconspicuous spot on your clothes if you must.
Given that Bio is basically just an ester, you could try all sorts of other esters. There would be a wide choice of odor there.

I've got a polo that reeks of diesel, I've washed it probably a half dozen times and it still smells like it, so if you're putting it on your clothes, don't be married to that shirt.
