The little birds fall down in our wood stove, I have greeted and released several in the last few days. I am going to put a cover on my chimneys when I can afford it. In the meantime, I will continue to greet and protect and release the little birds every time.

OK, that makes sense. It sure looked like a swift to me.

When I was a kid, we used to lie out on the grass in the summer sometimes in the evening to watch and listen to the swifts. They'd zip around up there, doing their aerobatics and making their little swift noises. Then, one by one, they'd disappear down the chimney for the night.

Thanks for bringing a pleasant memory to mind!

Maybe he dropped in for a drink.
You can fabricate a cover with some wire mesh.

Skippy~ As for perception: Drive what you like and can afford. Those who don't like it can supply vacuum to one of your components. LOL

If you need parts, I have some!
