Used car values web site question non-political!!

Have any of you found a web site that will back one into a specific vehicle?
IOW, my company needs several vehicles. extended cab PU or mid sized SUV, MUST have 4WD, and be USA branded. If there a web site that will let me put in a $$ figure, and the type of vehicle, and then the site will list vehicles that will fit my criteria?

Most sites I see require you to start with the vehicle; I want the web site to tell me that.

Thanks,

What if the website takes advertising dollars from one of the car makers whose vehicle in in the comparo?

Consumer Reports doesn't accept advertising dollars, perhaps you could look at their comparisons and select the one that comes out best.

They tested a 1978 300D when it was new and said it was the best car they had ever tested in the entire history of their testing!!! Time has proven that statement true, over 30+ years later... they are magnificent automobiles.

Second tier information may be had from back issue comparisons found in Automobile, Car & Driver, even Motor Trend.

New car reviews from the NADA, KBB, and Edmunds are worth a look.

After reading as many as you can, you can probably get a pretty good snapshot of what would work based on reliability, durability, cost to mile to run and build quality. It is NOT about mpg ONLY.

I think Ford vehicles are the best of the USA truck bunch, and are only average at best. At one point a few years back, Ford actually considered dropping cars completely and only building trucks and SUVs.

Dodge ones are the worst, from what everyone seems to say, but their Cummins turbo diesel engines are supposed to be great.

Good luck.

autotrader does that.when the home page comes up just put in your zip and leave the make at "any make" then click (next) put in miles you are willing to travel, then go way to the bottom and right above the green search button it asks"need more search options???"click on the highlighted (+search by milage, color, engine, features and keywords) and go thru the list.say you put in auto trans,4wd,v8 4 door.it will show all brands but it narrows it down alot.
