Tonight Show with Johnny Carson Digitized and Searchable
The library will initially be available just for professional clip-licensing purposes, but the company also plans to release 50 full-format shows on DVD and post a rotating series of historic clips for public viewing on http://www.johnnycarson.com. Somewhere in that archive is the segment with Albert Brooks, saying goodbye to standup, pants pulled down, cream pie in his face, saying "this isn't the real me."

Carson denied the episode on-air saying, "No, I think I would recall that..."[8] He and Gabor both responded to researchers stating the event "never happened."[9][10] However, many people have reported seeing the footage in which the disavowed incident occurred.

When I was a kid,I liked Johnny Carson, but I never realized how good he was until so many tried to replace him. Nothing against Leno, Letterman, Conan, et al., but Carson is the unquestioned master of the late night talk show. I can't put my finger on what made him the best, but he was exactly that.
