If the source of this were anyone but Bolton....
How is it that he knows this and no one else in the world seems to? Does Bolton think he is the tail that is wagging the Israeli dog?
Bolton needs to read a book on Russia and how much they enjoy having a foe on their border. I once had a Russian military person tell me that if the US has a 'Pearl Harbor' mentality then Russia has an 'Operation Barbarossa' mentality. They let a strong foe develop on their border once. They will never let it happen again.
There is also a difference between Iraq, Syria and Iran. The first two are, or at least were, run by a Dictator. Iran is run by an Islamic Council and they currently have the I'm-a-Nut-Job on a short leash.
Add to that the fact that dropping a bomb on something as complicated as a Reactor to put it out of commission is only one way of doing it. Seconds before the current Iraq war started the Iraq air defense system shut-down due to a little cyber warfare on the part of our computer geeks in uniform. Iraq went to a back up system that did some good for the first wave of attacks but it fell apart with-in a few hours.
Their is more than one way to skin a cat. Bolton should know this and he very likely does. But then, how do you get headlines by saying that?
