Anyone going to Starfest in VA?

Heya guys. We're thinking about taking the w114, the w126 SD, and the w204 C300 to starfest. Would anyone like to join our convoy? It's pretty cheap to attent (like $35 or something.) It looks like it could be fun and I've never been.

I am thinking about making the drive out there from CA.

Just trying to get some other stuff worked out/worked on before then, and it pretty much hinges on that.

Well since they made traffic tickets a $1000.00 minimum in VA I will stay clear of that state-for sure.

I thought that was only for state residents. And there's going to be a diesel in the convoy (along with a /8 coupe with 3.91 a rear end) so it's not like we're going to scream down the highways at 100mph

Also, I don't want to go to starfest to hob-nob with the snobs, I want to go to starfest with a peachparts posse so we can crash their party. We can park in a giant conga line consisting of our lovingly (and sometimes interestingly) maintained vehicles. I think it would be fun.

I want to go, but need to see how the next few weeks go with work. Its a very long drive for me, but I can write it 100% off if one of you is interested in buying a car of mine.

Funny, I was just elected president of my section at age 24. This weekend we're having a show and shine at my shop (our VP is going to demo some zymol wax and some griot's garage stuff in my air conditioned building)

Then, yes, a vinyard run.

I hope soon to tour an old nuclear silo converted into a house soon.

Also, a few years ago I was able to snag this for half a day from a business partner of my father's. Each person who attended had the opportunity to drive it.

That had to be a riot to drive. I can only imagine how an SLR drives. It would be a pretty ridiculously long drive for you Tyler, but it would be killer if we had a peachparts convoy.

When is this event? I wonder if my SDL could be moving under its own power by then...

EDIT: Looks like it would be on the 24th. Hmm....
