6.9 anybody?

There is one for sale locally. I saw it a few months ago but it was dark and I did not look closely at it. A friend told me about it. It is supposedly rust free with a tired interior and a recently rebuilt motor for big bucks. Asking 3500 but I imagine would take less. I might go by and look at it.

If someone has a real desire I will go look at it.

its silver.

Tom,
A 6.9 would have plenty of "hurry up" for your autocross fun !! Those things fly !! I always thought that a 240D badge on the back of one would be good to confuse every one.

Go for it Tom! With a 6.9, you could sit in the back reading the Wall Street Journal while someone else chauffeurs you through the autocross...

"Through the cones, Jeeves. With alacrity, please..."

Having driven, though not owned, a couple of 6.9 sedans I don't think it'd be much fun at an autocross. These things are for going in a relatively straight line in a big hurry. Turning real sharp, real fast - not so much.

I agree with the part about throwing money at it though!

Hey now, with enough power you can force just about anything through a sharp turn!

I think with a hitch it would make a fine tow vehicle....if only gas were 32.9 again!

A 6.9 is pretty nible for a 5,000 pound car. Unlike most street rods it can indeed corner and you might not notice you took a corner at 70 if you're too focused on where you're going and not too worried about how you got there.

I would expect it to be a fine handling road car. The autocross course though is another matter.
