Uh oh, september means cold weather in a month and a bit. Have some serious issues to resolve on the DD before that, holes and no heater! Been driving around all summer in an upside down convertible with the floor access to the street. Time to move fast and fix the problems.

That's my fear right now...the initial assessment on Tuesday was that the 2 chips weren't that big enough to worry about, but one chip is still attached to a tendon and that chip is suppose to be attached to a bone. So...with a "floater" and a "gripper" in there, I'm thinking some "limited amount of" surgery, but the doctor is not too sure we need it at all.

Has WC gotten that bad that surgery isn't mentioned as a possible course of action? Just a procedure to dance around?

BTW: Sorry to see your weekend schedule with your "baby" got fried by her supervisors. One thought might put it all in perspective though...there's, at least, 50,000 of our "friends" overseas right now (Nate and Skippy are just two of them!) that are wishing the very same thing.

So...while I'm H&P'ng this out with one hand and being grateful that it wasn't any worse, at the same time I'm a little ashamed I'm bi*ching about two bone chips. Those folks, overseas, are scratching everthing thin enough to hide a sandflea and wondering if there will be anything bigger than a bone chip left the next time an IED goes off.

Remember too, you and I have the chance to see our loved ones, albeit just a little bit, but we do get to see them. Our "friends?" Maybe in a year, or in a few months, but not anytime real soon.

That's what's putting it in perspective for me, right now, and for the next month or two.

( I'm such a wimp! )
