Anybody here use to really be into Sony Discmans?
I used to be kinda nuts about electronics near the end of high school, particularly Sony Discman products.
I had a D-EJ2000, considered to be the top of the line and last of the portable CD players before MP3 players took over the market. A while back, I did the stupid thing of selling the D-EJ2000 and now I am on the hunt for a decent 2nd hand unit. Anybody else have interest in these old relics of human technology? What make/model did you have?

A portable CD player is an inefficient and rather pointless way of listening to music. A tiny MP3 player can hold 1000 CD's worth of music easily, many have no moving parts, and about 4-5x the battery life of a discman.

And they don’t break your face (or the canopy) should they come loose during high G maneuvers.

I think I had a couple way back when, including some non-sony clones. I also had some "walkmen" back when CDs didn't exist. I don't believe any of them still exist.
