I'm not afraid to consider all the sides of any topic, I even read what you write! If you don't listen to Rush how can anyone consider your opinion of his positions as "tripe" or "bombast" is anything but uninformed?

P.S. within some circles the use in the pejorative sense of the word "tripe" evidences a distinct lack of epicurean sophistication. Anyone who has savored Italy's Trippa alla Genovese, Trippa alla Romana, or my personal favorite, Trippa alla Lombarda , or France's classic Tripes a' la mode de Caen; laughs at you!

Incidentally I’ve also had tripe served in the South East Asian Vietnamese/Thai style with the tripe cooked and chilled then marinated in garlic/shrimp paste/rice vinegar/malt sugar/chilies/Thai basil/lime juice served over finely sliced vegetables and clear mung bean noodles. A pleasure almost indescribable.

I've listened to enough to satisfy my curiosity, but not for a few years. Maybe I'll tune to AM and see if the landscape has changed...

How 'bout menudo?? Being an adventurous omnivore, I am mostly willing to try anything. However, if the item was actually called tripe, with no foreign frills, or semantical gymnastics, I may be reluctant. Guess that gives me something in common with the average voter....

Rush is about showmanship. His entire show is to show that the right wing is absolutely good, the left wing is the devil. Is there more? I already know the conclusion to each topic. Why do I want to read the book? His show is not about being fair and balanced. Just like NPR. While they give the appearance of being fair, I can almost guess with certainty how it is going to play out. So why do I want to waste my time listening to it? I know Jews are the scum of the earth from Hitler. Should I read Mien Kampf?
