I've heard the Urban legend about the handcuffs also which is where I got the notion to send them the picture of the money and the tickets on the table.. I am half tempted to try it myself.
The post wasn't a joke at all.. Realistically, what could they do to me? Any lawyers here? If I did it, could they proceed with further charges if I did it? Seriously.. I don't think they can actually do a damned thing to me if I try it.. Aside from still make me pay the tickets can they.. I've never been specifically penalized for mouthing off to a cop in the past.. Is there even a set of official charges for mouthing off, or being smart with the cops?

Sorry, but the the funny part is that you took the time to intensionally drive by the camera five times. Maybe you can somehow get it reduced to one ticket because it was really only one incident of driving without a seat belt.

Yeah, perhaps I can beat these suckers out of something... The comedy of the whole situation is clearly evident.. Perhaps the prosecutor at the court will have some sense of humor on the matter. Keep you all informed. Court date should come in the mail once I send in the "Not guilty" plea.. Typically it takes a few weeks or a month to hear back from them in this county to begin with.

they refer to the five passes by the cameras as "incidents". each "incident" is worth so many $$$$$ to them. it is kinda like a Bingo game, as the helpless motorist goes by the camera, BINGO JACKPOT more $$$$ for the county.

them mailing you a photograph of the cuffs is OK, but anything you send them trying to be cute could result in more action from them. they do not have a sense of humor. their sense of humor was removed at the factory. think "Robocop" and you'll get the idea.

We had a recent case in Australia with a judge getting a camera ticket. He claimed that a friend was driving, problem was the friend died 6 months earlier. The judge is now doing time & so no longer a judge.
If the pic doesnt show your face, you may be able to say some one else was driving, you would need to find the details of a person who was able to drive on that day & is no longer with us. Of course I am only joking :D

One of those traffic cameras caught me whacking off in my Benz. Luckly, the person who processed the ticket was a woman. When I received the ticket in the mail, all that was written on it was the her phone number.:D

You betcha!!!

It's called "resisting" ----- as in "resisting arrest".

But first they get to play on your head with the stick like a marimba, until they get bored, and they can also tase you.

Over and over.

take the time and perform the due diligence to find the one winner, your license and insurance rates depend upon it.

I have just decided to postpone my upcoming heart triple bypass operation.

They can only send a fine to the registered owner. Since cameras can't verify who is operating the vehicle, no points are involved.

I call "BS" on this tale. Exactly how would a camera "know" to take a picture when no violation has occurred. If you're gonna say, "focal point recognition" technology then you're nuts. If this were the case then every pre-1973 vehicle would be snapped as very few cars had 3 point restraints, only "lap" belts.

It's total bs, google the first few lines of the story. It's all over the internet.

But like I said, when you drive a Lambo, anything is possible.

thanks for sharing this, I wasn't aware that they didn't assess points. still, they keep a record of it and if you can keep it off your record I think it is worth the fight. there was a lawyer I used to know who could get normal everyday tickets dismissed for $75. he didn't handle DUIs or DWIs, but if it was an every day ticket he batted 10 for 10.

after they tase you into submission they then unleash the dog who then bites you over and over.

Isn't driving without a seatbelt a potential OSHA violation?
