Please I need some help here

I need some help, my 42 yo son and his wife are having problems, she moved out four weeks ago. Today he received a certified letter that she is seeking a legal separation. He is tired of her ***** and just whats out of it. MY question is what does he do? I own the home that they live in. she has a 2002 chevy truck in her name. but she moved out and took the 2010 KIA SUV that is in the sons name. Can anyone give me an idea as to what to advise him as to what to do? please Help...Norm

I think he needs to at least talk to a lawyer, it appears that she already has. If there are no kids involved, it's probably just a matter of splitting up the "stuff" and moving on.

BTADT, tell your son to let her go, tell him to pay what he has to, to get rid of her. There is a lot of good women out there that wil love your son for what he is. Trust me on this one.

Your owning the home they live in - has nothing to do with any liability or responsibility to either of them on your part - in terms of their legal separation/divorce.

As far as what you should tell your Son to do? I would think it time he hire an attorney, if the couple is in conflict on the potential upcoming divorce.

Divorce is an unpleasant necessity in some couple's lives.

I'm not an attorney, btw.

You owning the house is a good thing...she can't touch it. As for the vehicle issue, it may be something that they will have to agree to, since these would be considered marital property.

Have him get to a lawyer and get proper advice...

What he said, and to reiterate: Lawyer up!
