Same year as mine and one of the early years for the HO 4.0 i6 fuel injected. They are peppy!

Mine is of the wooded variety. The called it a Wagoneer but its basically a Cherokee with wood paneling and a fancy interior.

At one point, my wife was convinced she wanted to buy a ML500. I talked he out of it for a couple of reasons; I don't like what I've heard about them from my mechanic, and I don't want any SUV in the household because I have a 15 year old with a learners permit. I think we are going to buy a 4matic sedan or wagon, I can always rent a truck when I need to carry big stuff.

Yeah... it looks good on the surface - the owner had sent me some detail photos of the rig. I've asked about this one on IH8MUD and got a couple 'warning flags' from the group there - seems the young kid driving it had made some 'hasty' mods - and in the process had removed things like the O/D button and couple of other mods inside that looked questionable - still it's fully locked (front/rear lockers and center diff lock) - it's a beast... but its not without risk.

Oh yeah - that's a beautiful vehicle... trouble is that he wants $7,995 for it! and won't come down on price claiming that they don't mark them up too much so he's got no room to negotiate...

The other vehicle in OKC is real nice... though not close to me.
