Are we sure this is not photo shopped? The top of the sign looks a little funny and I just don't see the BC fish and wild life putting up a sign like that. Funny as hell and if it is real, I love their sense of humor.

Pretty sure you nailed it...left side of the side that's suppose to be "attached" to the pole...it has the "white" of a mismatch-cut-out-and-paste attachment. And the "horizon-perspective" is off...it just doesn't match between the sign and the backround.

I call PS on it too. BTW, the name of the campground is in the lower left corner of the sign...

Cute distinction between brown/black bears and grizzlies.

Why I don't hike in bear country.

Better watch it. A Police Officer spotted a mountain lion in IN, the past week.

I've seen that a couple times in the email rounds. I suppose it could be 'shopped but I just figured it was the work of the whacky campground owners rather than the B.C. Fish and Wildlife Branch.

I've always tried to avoid hiking in bear country. Now jogging rapidly and sprinting on the other hand....

(yes, yes, yes, I know bears can out run humans but they're darn well gonna have to EARN a chunk of me!)

I know some guys that use 10mm Glocks in bear country, or a big revolver. A Glock is nice and light if you don't want to carry a rifle.

Bear spray? NFW am I relying on a can of pissing pepper to save me from a bear, I'll take a 30-06 thanks.
